Location

1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of T12.

Indications
  • Pain in the chest, hypochondriac and epigastric regions
  • Abdominal distension, borborygmus, gastric reflux, diarrhea
  • Nausea, vomiting, anorexia
Applications
  • Regulates and tonifies the Stomach 
  • Descends rebellious qi, resolves dampness, eliminates food stagnation
  • Harmonizes the middle jiao
Balance Method: 
Techniques

Needle obliquely 0.5-0.8 cun. Perpendicular insertion is not advisable as it may cause pneumothorax.
