The Master Tung Acupuncture point, T 33.17* Xinling, is a three-point set on the PC channel, 1.5 cun, 2.5 cun, and 3.5 cun proximal to the wrist crease.

Indications
Primary: 

Cardiovascular disorders: endocarditis, arrhythmia, cardiomegaly, chest oppression, angina

Secondary: 
  • Epigastric pain
  • Dizziness, frontal headache
  • Leg pain, numbness of the hands and feet
  • Acupuncture anesthesia point for neck surgeries

Techniques
  • Needle perpendicularly 0.5 - 1 cun. In severe cases, the needle can be inserted deeply to penetrate through the skin of the TH channel.
  • Needle obliquely at 45 degrees towards the heart, 0.5 - 1 cun, when treating cardiovascular disorders.
  • Needle obliquely at 30 degrees towards the heart, 0.5 - 1 cun, when treating the chest and head.
  • Needle towards the palm to treat hand and foot disorders.
