Location

This point is between the GB and ST channels, 3 cun proximal to the lateral malleolus, and 1 cun anterior to the fibula. This point is at the same level of Xuanzhong (GB 39).

Indications
Primary: 
  • Hyperthyroidism (caused by heart disease), bulging of the eyes, enlarged thyroid, tonsillitis, hepatic diseases, rib pain, teeth clenching at night, migraine
  • Post-stroke complications, deviation of the eyes and mouth, TMJ, post-concussion symptoms
  • Breast disorders: mastitis, fibrocystic breast disease, breast tumors, breast cancer, breast pain
  • Spleen disorders: splenomegaly, abdominal mass
  • Tumors and cancer: brain, breast, esophageal
Secondary: 
  • Meningitis
  • Severe acne
  • Cold bi zheng (painful obstruction syndrome) caused by excessive sexual activities
