Hand Shaoyang - TH Channel

Pathway

The Triple Heater (San Jiao) channel originates at Guanchong (TH 1) and runs upward towards Tianliao (TH 15) where it passes the GB channel and travels over the shoulder to the supraclaviuclar fossa, crossing Bingfeng (SI 12), Dazhui (GV 14), and Jianjing (GB 21). It then spreads in the chest, crossing Shanzhong (CV 17), to connect with the PC. It then decends through the diaphragm down to the abdomen, and connects all 3 jiaos.

A branch orginates from the chest at Shanzhong (CV 17) and ascends to the neck, running along the posterior border of the ear, passing through Xuanli (GB 6) and Hanyan (GB 4) to the corner of the anterior hairline. Then it turns downward to the cheek and terminates in the infraorbital region at Quanliao (SI 18).

The auricular branch arises from the retroauricular region and enters the ear, crossing Shangguan (GB 3) and Tinggong (SI 19). Then it emerges in front of the ear, crosses the cheek to reach Sizhukong (TH 23), and connect with the GB channel.
