Location

This point is on the ST channel, 1.5 cun superior and 0.3 cun medial to the superior lateral corner of the patella, near Liangqiu (ST 34).

Indications
Primary: 
  • Fainting needle, swelling of needled area or lingering pain from acupuncture or injection, pain from physical trauma, emotional trauma or exhaustion
  • Black tinge on the face from toxin from overuse of medication or drugs
  • Pain, numbness, soreness from excessive mental stimulation/stress or exhaustion

Techniques

Needle 0.3 - 0.5 cun slowly and stimulate softly. Needle should be removed when pain is relieved. Do not retain the needles for more than 8 minutes.
