Huiyin (CV 1)

Location

At the perineum, midway between the anus and the root of the scrotum in males; midway between the anus and the posterior labial commissure in females.

Indications
  • Vaginitis, irregular menstruation
  • Retention of urine, enuresis, hemorrhoids
  • Nocturnal emission 
  • Mental disorders
Contraindications: 
Contraindicated during pregnancy
Applications
  • Regulates the anterior and posterior yin
  • Regulates the ren (conception) channel and the chong (thoroughfare) channel
  • Clears heat, drains damp-heat
  • Calms the spirit
  • Promotes resuscitation
Techniques

Needle perpendicularly 0.5-1.0 cun.
