Boqiu (T 77.04)

Location

This point is 1.5 cun distal to Chengshan (BL 57) on the midline of the posterior aspect of the lower leg where the Achilles tendon leaves the gastrocnemius muscle.

Indications
Primary: 
  • Cramps and spasms of the lower leg
  • Upper back pain (T4 area)
Secondary: 
  • Nosebleed
  • Occipital headache
  • Lower back pain
  • Huo luan (sudden turmoil disorder)
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Athlete's foot, tetanus, polio with clubfoot

Techniques

Needle 1 - 2 cun.
