Zhixian (T 11.25)

Location

The Master Tung Acupuncture point, T 11.25 Zhixian, is a two-point set on the dorsal aspect of the thumb, evenly distributed along the radial margin of the proximal phalangeal bone (line H). Divide the proximal phalanx into thirds, and locate these two points at 1/3 and 2/3 the distance between the MCP and IP joints. According to Dr. Chuan-Min Wang, this is a five-point set located in the same area.

Indications
Primary: 

Drooling in children, post-stroke drooling

Secondary: 
  • Stomach cold with pain, diarrhea from Spleen qi deficiency
  • Atrophy of the optic nerve, conjunctivitis, keratitis, optic neuritis, cataracts, tearing upon exposure to wind
  • Toothache
  • Intestinal hernia
