Location

The Master Tung Acupuncture point, T 33.14 Dishi, is 7 cun proximal to the wrist crease on the LU or PC channel, 3 cun proximal to Renshi (T 33.13). On the LU channel, it overlaps Kongzui (LU 6).

Indications
Primary: 
  • Asthma
  • Cardiac insufficiency, arrhythmia
Secondary: 
  • All respiratory disorders: common cold, bronchitis, rhinitis, sinusitis
  • Headache, upper body pain, arm pain, lack of flexibility of the hand
  • Heart disease, including palpitations, chest tightness
  • Kidney deficiency, hernia

Techniques
  • Needle perpendicularly 1 - 1.5 cun.
  • Needle contralateral to the affected area.
  • Use shallow insertion for respiratory issues and deep insertion for cardiac disorders.
  • Since this point is on or in between the PC and LU channel, select the PC channel to treat cardiovascular problems and use the LU channel to treat respiratory disorders.
