Xinshe (Ex-HN23)

Location

On the neck, between C3 and C4, 1.5 cun lateral to the midline, below Fengchi (GB 20).

Indications
  • All types of neck, shoulder and scapular pain involving the soft tissue, nerves or the bones
  • Bronchitis, allergic rhinitis, cough, asthma
  • Headache, dizziness, insomnia, hysteria, mental diseases, nervous disorders, opisthotonus
  • Palpitation, hypertension, deafness, tinnitus
  • Lymphatic swelling, sore throat, arched back and neck
Applications
  • Dispels wind pathogen, benefits the neck.
Techniques

Perpendicular needling 0.3-0.8 cun. Moxa for 5-15 minutes.

Remarks
