Huofuhai (T 33.07)

Location

The Master Tung Acupuncture point, T 33.07 Huofuhai, is on the TH channel close to Shousanli (LI 10), 8.5 cun proximal to the wrist, and 2 cun proximal to Huoshan (T 33.06) on the muscular prominence of the dorsal forearm.

Indications
Primary: 
  • Common cold, cough, asthma, sinusitis
  • Sciatica, coldness of the knees, soreness of the back and legs
Secondary: 

Anti-aging point, anemia, dizziness, blurry vision, over exertion, fatigue, exhaustion

Techniques
  • Needle perpendicularly 0.5 - 1.5 cun.
  • When needling for exhaustion and anti-aging, do not needle the point for more than 10 minutes. After removing the needle, use acupressure afterward to continue stimulating the point. It is also appropriate to apply moxibustion to this point.
