Tung Acup — Classic

Bleed the thinnest and darkest veins, 90 degrees into the skin. Do not bleed the thick, protruding veins. Patients with strong constitution can be bled while standing up to enhance bleeding. Anemic or weak patients should lie down to prevent fainting needle. Do not induce excess bleeding in deficient patients in one session. It is better to bleed in small amounts over several sessions.

For varicose veins, bleeding technique should be performed once a week on the small, distended vein while taking Circulation (SJ) and Shan Zha (Fructus Crataegi).
