- Obesity (belly area):
- Needle 23 points around the umbilicus. The points are one cun from the belly button; mark 4 points at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock. All points are 1 cun apart from each other. From the 12 o'clock point, mark 5 points: one point directly above, 2 point to the right, and 2 points to the left. From the 3 o'clock point, mark 1 point to the right. From the 9 o'clock point, mark 1 point to the left. From the 6 o'clock point, mark 8 points: 2 points to the right, 2 points to the left, and 4 points directly below. Starting from 1 cun below the 6 o'clock point, mark 2 points to the right and 2 points to the left. There are a total of 23 points.
- Obesity (buttock):
- Place 6 needles evenly along the gluteal fold. Bleed the sacral area. Bleed before needling for the best results.
- Stomach, Small Intestine, Kidney, Hypothalamus
- Embed ear seeds and massage the points for two to three minutes, thirty minutes before meals, to decrease appetite. Replace ear seeds once a week, and continue for five weeks per course of treatment. Rest for one to two weeks in between courses of treatments.
- The most effective ear seeds for weight loss are Jie Zi (Semen Sinapis) and Wang Bu Liu Xing (Semen Vaccariae).
- Treating obesity by regulating endocrine function: Pituitary, Endocrine.
